SAINT VINCENT HOSPITAL EXPANSION

Project Summary 

Allegheny Health Network’s 104,000 square foot expansion of Saint Vincent’s Hospital in Erie includes construction of a new Emergency Department, Operating Suites and support spaces as well as upgrades to the existing hospital tower and surgery suites. This $115 million construction project was completed in 2019. 

BPA is the  Building Envelope Commissioning Agent for this project.  BPA is providing services including detailed reviews of construction documents, shop drawings and submittals, and providing technical assistance in developing details to assure air and weather barrier continuity at interfaces with multiple existing buildings of various ages and construction types. BPA is monitoring construction progress, as well as managing and executing performance verification tests to assure the completed enclosure delivers the performance level required of this mission-critical new space.
